How To Search "ChemCycle"

A. Enter either one or both of the following fields :

  • Name of the chemical(full or in part using "%" as wildcard). See example on the query page.
  • CAS#(full or in part using "%" as wildcard).See example on the query page
B. To view all the chemicals, click the button "View All Available Chemicals".
C. Click "Submit Query" to receive a list of chemicals matching the criteria you entered. Click "Back to ChemCycle Query Screen" to return to the ChemCycle screen.


How To Request a Chemical

A. From the list of chemicals, check on the chemicals that you would like to request.
B. Click on "Submit Request Form" to view the ChemCycle request form.
C. Enter all the details in the form :

  • Your First Name
  • Your Last Name
  • Your Email
  • Your Role
  • Principal Investigator Name
  • Principal Investigator Email
  • WGN
  • Building
  • Room Number
  • Phone Number
  • Comments or specific delivery instructions
Note: If you are a non-UCSD affiliate, please enter "NA" for the following fields :
  • Principal Investigator Name
  • Principal Investigator Email
  • WGN
D. The chemicals checked on the result screen will be automatically displayed in the request form.
E. Click "Submit Request" to send email.
F. Email will be sent to chemcycle@ucsd.edu and copied to your principal investigator.
G.Your order will be delivered during the next regularly scheduled hazardous waste collection for your building.
  • Check the hazardous waste collection schedule.
  • Expedited deliveries are possible. Please call (858) 534-2753 for information.

"HAZARDOUS WASTE PICKUP REQUEST" form.
Designate for "CHEMCYCLE" on the yellow waste tag attached to item.
